Vorderbad

During the Middle Ages the city of Braunau ran three bathhouses located directly at the Stadtbach (a stream running through Braunau). The Vorderbad, Mitterbad and Hinterbad. The buildings still exist at the Stadtbach which delivered the water needed by the bathhouses. The Vorderbad located at Färbergasse 13 is separated from Mitterbad and Hinterbad by a bridge called „Am Berg“. The Vorderbad was used from beginning of the 16th century till late 18th century. Afterwards operations were stopped. During 19th and 20th century the building was used for private purposes.
